BARB'S TOP 10 LIST

It has been about ten years since Bruce bought a Harley, and we began riding seriously. Although Bruce has had motorcycles since he was about fourteen, our 1997 Heritage Springer was the first Harley-Davidson he owned in a long time. In the last ten years, and four Harleys later, we have met many great people and have seen things we never thought we would see (The top of Mount Washington, Yellowstone National Park, charging buffalo). This is my top ten list of things I have learned in ten years on the road.

1. Dress warmer that you think is necessary.

2. Always carry rain gear, even if you are leaving on a clear and sunny day.

3. Never pass up a chance to go to the restroom.

4. Never eat at a place called Grandma’s.

5. Buzzards can fly 35 miles an hour.

6. Hail hurts.

7. How silly you look when you drop your bike is in direct proportion to how many people are looking,,,,, (downtown Sturgis.)

8. There is a lot more stuff inside a bug than you would think.

9. Pass trucks carrying livestock as quickly as possible. (That wasn’t rain on the windshield.)

10. Buffalo are wild and dangerous animals. Do not approach.
